“What did we learn about feature writing as a result of having gone through this process?”
Jack Hart, einer der Juroren, liefert im fabelhaften “Nonfiction Writer’s Guide” der Nieman Foundation eine Liste mit den Antworten:
- Have a point
- Be skeptical of victim stories
- Have a narrative structure. Read a screenwriting book
- Strive for clear organization
- Have a dramatic engine
- Don’t be conventional
- Think about your story’s selling point. How will the story benefit readers?
- Don’t create false heroes
- Don’t be afraid to show complexity or ambiguity
